Turns Out⊠Thereâs Quite a Lot
|
| Did you know Squiz Kids is far more than a daily news podcast? |
| Weâve built an entire suite of classroom-ready content designed to plug straight into your planning. |
Planet Warriors introduces renewable energy through a gang of science superheroes â perfect for Sustainability and Science units.
Money & Me with Biz-E the Bee brings financial literacy to life through budgeting and goal-setting â ideal for Maths and Life Skills.
The Sensational World of Civics makes Australian democracy genuinely engaging â Humanities without the yawns.
Our Science Shorts unpack fascinating real-world topics in bite-sized bursts that spark curiosity and critical thinking.
And yes â Newshounds is still here when the moment calls for it, helping students sharpen their media literacy and learn how to spot misinformation online. |
| Plus, while we paused producing new Classroom Companions last year, the back catalogue remains stacked with evergreen worksheets â including dedicated Squiz the World resources â ready whenever you need them. |
| Itâs built by teachers, for teachers. And itâs all there, ready when you are. |

Q+As Are Making a Comeback – Can you guess our first guest?
|
Q+As, where the kids ask the questions, are coming back⊠and we are not easing in quietly.   |
| Can you guess who our very first guest will be? |
| Heâs been answering science questions on ABC radio for more than 40 years, holds multiple university degrees, and has built a career out of explaining the wonderfully weird workings of our world. |
|
|
| Weâll be opening the callout for student questions shortly â so start thinking about those curly, curious, slightly chaotic sciencey wonders. |
| Stay tuned. This oneâs going to be big. |

Tuesdayâs Shortcut: E-Bikes & E-Scooters
|
|
|
| This Tuesdayâs Squiz Kids Shortcut tackles a hot topic many schools are already navigating â e-bikes and e-scooters. |
| In this episode, we explore where these devices came from, unpack why adults are so concerned about them, and look closely at how young people can use them safely and responsibly. |
| Itâs exactly the kind of real-world issue that gets students thinking critically about risk, responsibility and innovation. |
| Helmet on. Letâs roll. |

Random Acts of Kindness Day
|
| Tuesday is Random Acts of Kindness Day â and the free resources from the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation are genuinely excellent. |
| Their Kindness in the Classroom lesson plans focus on six core concepts: Respect, Caring, Inclusiveness, Integrity, Responsibility and Courage. Each is taught through discussion, games, activities and home extensions. |
| But the standout? The Bingo cards. |
| Students love the challenge of âwinningâ at being kind â and suddenly the room is full of quiet acts of generosity. |
| Thereâs even a big peopleâs version. Staff meeting, anyone? |

Fun Finish: Scotty James can Dance!
|
| Between training runs, the Olympic snowboarder delivered a pitch-perfect office dance moment that is equal parts joyful and ridiculous. |
|
|
| If youâve already seen Scotty James recreating the dance made famous by Hugh Grantâs iconic scene in Love Actually⊠watch it again. |
| If you havenât⊠youâre welcome. |
| Itâs impossible not to smile. |
