Everything we’ve built – we’re that kid that can’t sit still…

Turns Out… There’s Quite a Lot

Did you know Squiz Kids is far more than a daily news podcast?
We’ve built an entire suite of classroom-ready content designed to plug straight into your planning.
Planet WarriorsĀ introduces renewable energy through a gang of science superheroes — perfect for Sustainability and Science units.
Money & Me with Biz-E the BeeĀ brings financial literacy to life through budgeting and goal-setting — ideal for Maths and Life Skills.
The Sensational World of CivicsĀ makes Australian democracy genuinely engaging — Humanities without the yawns.
OurĀ Science ShortsĀ unpack fascinating real-world topics in bite-sized bursts that spark curiosity and critical thinking.
And yes — NewshoundsĀ is still here when the moment calls for it, helping students sharpen their media literacy and learn how to spot misinformation online.
Plus, while we paused producing newĀ Classroom CompanionsĀ last year, the back catalogue remains stacked with evergreen worksheets — including dedicatedĀ Squiz the WorldĀ resources — ready whenever you need them.
It’s built by teachers, for teachers. And it’s all there, ready when you are.

Q+As Are Making a Comeback – Can you guess our first guest?

Q+As, where the kids ask the questions, are coming back… and we are not easing in quietly. 🧪✨
Can you guess who our very first guest will be?
He’s been answering science questions on ABC radio for more than 40 years, holds multiple university degrees, and has built a career out of explaining the wonderfully weird workings of our world.
We’ll be opening the callout for student questions shortly — so start thinking about those curly, curious, slightly chaotic sciencey wonders.
Stay tuned. This one’s going to be big.

Tuesday’s Shortcut: E-Bikes & E-Scooters

This Tuesday’sĀ Squiz Kids ShortcutĀ tackles a hot topic many schools are already navigating — e-bikes and e-scooters.
In this episode, we exploreĀ where these devices came from, unpackĀ why adults are so concerned about them, and look closely atĀ how young people can use them safely and responsibly.
It’s exactly the kind of real-world issue that gets students thinking critically about risk, responsibility and innovation.
Helmet on. Let’s roll.

Random Acts of Kindness Day

Tuesday is Random Acts of Kindness Day — and theĀ free resources from the Random Acts of Kindness FoundationĀ are genuinely excellent.
TheirĀ Kindness in the ClassroomĀ lesson plans focus on six core concepts: Respect, Caring, Inclusiveness, Integrity, Responsibility and Courage. Each is taught through discussion, games, activities and home extensions.
But the standout?Ā The Bingo cards.
Students love the challenge of ā€œwinningā€ at being kind — and suddenly the room is full of quiet acts of generosity.
There’s even aĀ big people’s version. Staff meeting, anyone?

Fun Finish: Scotty James can Dance!

Between training runs, the Olympic snowboarder delivered a pitch-perfect office dance moment that is equal parts joyful and ridiculous.
