Grace’s Easy Choc Chip Cookies

This week I tried Grace’s recipe for easy choc chip cookies. Grace is 10 and from Kangaroo Island in South Australia and clearly got the memo about my love for chocolate! These were delicious and full of yummy chocolate chips, just the way I like them. Thanks Grace!

  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1 cup caster sugar
  • 1 packed cup of brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

  • First you preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius
  • Then, you line an oven tray with baking paper and set aside
  • In a big bowl, cream together butter and the sugars
  • Beat in eggs and vanilla until the mixture is fluffy
  • Mix in the dry ingredients until everything is combined
  • Add in the choc chips

Rosie’s Tip of The Day: I used a mini ice cream scoop to measure out the dough so my cookies were all the same size and would bake evenly. I also like to squish them down a little bit with a fork before baking because I like them thin and a bit crunchy. If you like them more doughy and chewy, skip this step and leave them in balls on the tray.
